Hello / Bonjour!
Mindful Acres provides therapy inspired by nature. This psychotherapy private practice was created with the intention to inspire healing through presence, intention, and connection. With flexible session formats —indoor (Couch Sessions), outdoor (Nature Sessions), or online (Virtual Sessions)—clients can choose the environment that best supports their comfort and therapeutic goals. Session formats may be mixed and matched, based on need and/or preference and can be used interchangeably at any time.
—Les services bilingues sont également offerts en français!
Mindful Acres was thoughtfully created by Renée Gelinas, who brings care and intention to her work as a psychotherapist. She holds a certificate of registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Laurentian University, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Renée provides psychotherapy to individual adults and couples of all identities and orientations, both locally in Greater Sudbury and virtually across Ontario.
With over a decade of experience in emergency services, followed by an intentional pivot into counselling psychology, Renée brings a rich blend of personal and professional insight to her work as a psychotherapist. Her style is warm, steady and collaborative. She integrates evidence-based strategies, with self-compassion and practical tools. Primarily rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Renée is excited to also offer sessions in nature, such as Walk and Talk Therapy, which can further enhance the therapeutic process. Gottman-informed interventions are used when working with couples.
