Scott Croteau has been practising law for 24 + years. In that time he has participated in close to 1000 mediations and since 2016 has been offering his services as mediator in the Northeast and province wide.
While specializing in civil litigation, Scott can mediate in any area, on line and in person.
With sweeping changes coming to the way lawsuits in Ontario are governed, mediations will become a central part of how actions are settled.
Experiences takes Scott from Ottawa in 1997, to Toronto from 2002 to 2014 and in Subdury, Timmins, Parry Sound, Thunder Bay, North Bay, Cochrane, Hearst, Dryden, Sault Ste Marie etc. from 2014 onwards. After coming back to Sudbury, Scott has been able to use expertise and contacts with the communities in general, counsel and the judiciary from the north in particular, offering insights that out of town mediators simply do not possess.
Scott is also on the board of directors at the Advocates Society, 2nd VP at the Sudbury District Law Association, coach of Mock Trials annually, a Deputy Judge of Small Claims court and teacher\mentor at Toronto Metropolitan University.
